Members of Mountaineering Club and Archaeology Department at University of Uludag at Bursa, Turkey, found traces of paleolithic human life at mount Uludag, near a famous ski resort in Turkey, close to Istanbul. The traces, which include tools made of stones and bones, dated 100,000 years ago.
Why is that so important?
This is far most from the earliest life known in Anatolia, which is 10000 BC.
Professor Mustafa Sahin, head of Archeology Department and a member of Mountainering & Trekking Club of Uludag University, said "Bursa and Uludag is on a key location between Asia and Europe. There shouldn't be a gap here..."
